Pioneering intelligent color measurement for professional digital printing

Developing intelligent spectrophotometer technology for digital printing professionals, from South Tyrol, Italy, to customers worldwide.

Our Vision

When color quality counts

Our vision is a digital printing industry in which objective color measurement is an integral part of every professional Color Management and quality assurance workflow.

We want print producers, technology manufacturers, and Color Management professionals to achieve reliable and repeatable color across increasingly diverse materials, printing technologies, and production environments.

From South Tyrol, Italy, BARBIERI has developed into a global specialist and market leader in color measurement for large format, flatbed, and industrial digital printing.

Advancing color measurement for digital printing

Our mission is to develop intelligent color measurement instruments for the specific requirements of professional digital printing.

BARBIERI instruments provide reliable spectral data for ICC profiling, printer calibration, process verification, and color quality control across demanding materials and printing technologies.

We combine spectral measurement technology, automated chart measurement, application specific sample handling, and software integration to support efficient and repeatable Color Management workflows.

Close cooperation with customers, software developers, printer manufacturers, research institutions, and industry partners guides the continuous development of our products and services.

We share our experience through technical resources, application knowledge, training, software integration, and collaboration with the international color and printing community.

Barbieri qb Technology

BARBIERI qb Technology is the proprietary spectral measurement platform at the core of our current instrument portfolio. It combines defined measurement geometry, spectral sensing, measurement conditions, and instrument control developed for professional digital printing applications.

Our core technology complies with the latest ISO 13655 standard, ensuring spectral measurement and colorimetric computation for graphic arts images, and serving as the foundation for ICC color management.

When it comes to color measurement for digital printing applications, BARBIERI qb Technology sets the standard.
